The family is the primary community in which faith, love, and Christian values are shared and nurtured. Our parish stands as a partner to assist you as parents, a child’s primary educator, in the physical, psychological, moral, social, and spiritual development of each child.
Our Religious Education program is a hybrid program. This means that both the parents and religious education teachers are responsible for aspects of your child's formation. We provide you with the materials to use, following the Diocesan-approved curriculum and recommended textbooks. Students will gather every week as a group (Sunday at 9:30 A.M. at the Basilica Center). Then at home, we encourage parents and children to talk about what the child is learning in the classroom, engage in prayer and service together as a family, and continue to participate in the life of the Parish to the best of your abilities.
As we seek to form disciples of Jesus, the Religious Education program promotes knowledge of the faith, liturgy, and the sacraments. Through prayer and catechesis, we promote moral formation to prepare Christian young men and women to participate actively in the life and mission of the Church to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
During this time in the midst of COVID-19, we are taking all precautions necessary to ensure the proper safety, health, and social distancing of all those who participate in this religious education program.
